How to use the PUBG name generator
- Type or paste your nickname into the box. Every style on the page updates instantly as you type.
- Look through the small caps, bold, symbol and decorated versions, and pick the one that suits your squad or profile.
- Press the Copy button next to that style, then paste it into a bio, a Discord nickname, a post or the game's name field to test it.
What these PUBG name styles are
The nicknames on this page are not font files. Each one is built from Unicode characters, the same standard that lets your phone show text in many languages. Bold comes from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, which holds heavy versions of A–Z that were created for math but work as lettering. Small caps uses lookalike letters borrowed from phonetic and other alphabets, so ᴛʜɪs ᴋɪɴᴅ of text looks like short capitals. Nothing is installed or downloaded.
Symbol and decorated names add extra characters around your letters, such as brackets and stars, to give you a tag-style name that stands out in a lobby list or on a profile. Only the letters A–Z (and digits in some styles) are converted. Anything else you type, such as accented letters, stays as it is. Because the result is plain text, you can paste it into any app that accepts text.
Where to use your PUBG nickname
The easiest places are the ones that accept almost any text. A Discord nickname can be up to 32 characters, an X (Twitter) display name up to 50, and an Instagram bio up to 150, so a bold or small caps name plus a few decorations fits comfortably. Try your squad name in a bio line, a clip caption, a stream title, or a team roster you pin in a Discord channel.
Decorated names work well as small badges. You could put your nickname between brackets and stars on a profile, and use the small caps version for a short tag like your clan or role. Remember that every bracket and star counts toward a character limit, so a heavily decorated name can use up a nickname field faster than you expect. Preview it in the place you plan to use it before you commit.
Tips and limitations
Keep your name readable. Small caps can be hard to tell apart at small sizes, and bold is easier to read than long strings of symbols. Some older devices and apps with limited fonts show these characters as empty boxes, so check how your name looks on a second phone if you can. Screen readers often read these characters badly, so use them for decoration and keep anything important, like contact details, in plain text.
Games and platforms may reject special characters in player names, and PUBG is no exception, so we cannot promise that a name will be accepted in the game itself. Test it in the name field first. If it is refused, use the fancy version in your Discord nickname, bios, posts and comments, and keep a plain version for the game. A plain name can also be easier for friends to search for.
Frequently asked questions
Will PUBG accept these nicknames as my in-game name?
It depends on the game's current name rules, which may reject some special characters. Paste the name into the name field to test it. If it is refused, use the style in your Discord nickname, bio or posts instead.
Can I copy and paste these names on my phone?
Yes. The generator runs in your phone's browser. Type your name, tap Copy next to a style, then paste it into any app that accepts text. It is free, needs no sign-up, and the text is converted in your browser.
Which style is best for a Discord or Instagram name?
Bold is the easiest to read, and small caps looks neat for short tags. Keep in mind the limits: 32 characters for a Discord nickname and 150 for an Instagram bio. Decorations with brackets and stars use up characters too.
Why do some letters show as empty boxes?
These styles use Unicode characters, and some old devices or apps do not have fonts that include them, so they show boxes. Screen readers may also read them poorly. Use them for decoration and keep key information in plain text.
